WEEK 6
The final week of workshops and back at the branding to carry on with the Professor Brian Cox x Vans collaboration that was created in week 3.
On this day we was supposed to present a final pitch to a ‘client’, looking at the research we had done going into the collaboration. On this day, absence was taken place and I felt like I couldn't attend and have the pressure to present a group task on my own that wasn't ready. If we had all come together we could of created the project in time. However, we did manage to finish the event.
The skatepark will be completely renovated with a space design all over it. For the launch of the collection, it will be based there with a special talk with the man himself, professional skaters wearing and promoting the garments and a pop up for the new products to be sold. To match this, we designed our logo, products and a sketch of what we want the skatepark to look like. The whole point of the collaboration will be to promote Brian Cox into a different audience and also to make younger millennial aware of physics. The logo, designs and research are all on my branding page here.
Overall, we did have problems within the group were absence became a problem. In the end we managed to pull it back and create some form of output. We did all struggle with this project and feel if we got a different person more suited to us more people would be able to engage and contribute to the team. I am still proud of what we have produced as I feel the idea behind it is clever and links to Professor Brian Cox. I do like the idea of branding and the whole concept of starting from scratch and exploring ideas and designs, I would love to look further into another concept and try attack it with a better mind set.
